A recent study showed that 94% of people think that images printed on posters are the best way to call people’s attention to something.
Posters are a great way to share famous photographs, business facts, research findings, and offer health and safety advice!
No matter what you want to tell people, posters are one of the most effective ways to get your message across loud and clear.
But how can you design an effective poster? Many people turn to software like Adobe Spark.
In this post, you’ll learn an easy, 3-step process about how to make posters with Adobe Spark.
Step 1: Select Your Size
Before you start designing your poster, first you’ll need to choose how big you want your poster to be!
To do this, open up the Spark Post Web Application. At the bottom on your screen, you’ll see a list of different sizes you can create.
When choosing your poster size, make sure you’ve taken into consideration the following things:
- How much text your poster has
- The size of the text you need
- The number/size of images
- How much wall space you’ll have
After you’ve chosen your size, keep in mind it’s also possible to select options that will create “digital posters” you can share on social media accounts!
If you don’t see the size you need listed, simply click on “More Sizes.”
Step 2: Select Your Image And Texts
This is probably the most important part of designing your poster.
Your images and the words you use on your poster are what will convince people to stop what they’re doing and read!
To pick a background image, click “Background” followed by “Replace Photo.”
You can decide if you want to import a photo from social media, Dropbox, Creative Cloud, Google Photos, or simply upload one from your computer’s desktop.
You may also want to look for photos in programs like Adobe Stock.
Once you’ve decided on your image, it’s time to create your text!
When you know what you want to say, click on “Text,” and then scroll through the options on font, color, size, shape, and position.
You can create multiple text boxes, or stick with just one.
Step 3: Share Your Poster With The World!
Now that you’ve created the size, texts, and images on your poster, it’s time to put it out there!
You can download your poster, print it out and hang it on the walls, or put it on social media. You might even do all of those options!
How do you start?
Just click on the “Share” button, and decide which way and on which social media platforms you want to share your poster.
You’re Ready To Make Gorgeous Posters In Adobe Spark
That’s a basic guide for creating posters in Spark, but remember, there are lots of custom options available, too.
You can add background filters, switch up your color palette, and more.
The best part?
Your posters are automatically saved, so you don’t ever have to worry about losing your work.
Now that you know how to upgrade your poster design, more people will get your message than ever before!
